Suspect Dead, Officer in Critical After Shooting in Atlantic City

The ordeal began Saturday at 2:34 a.m. when two Atlantic City police officers on patrol spotted a robbery in progress near the Caesars Atlantic City parking garage on Arkansas Avenue, officials said. Officials say two Atlantic City police officers left their patrol vehicle and approached a group of six men. At least one of those men allegedly then opened fire, striking one of the officers.
